High Elevation Attractions

The Escalante and Boulder Mountains and Lakes north of us are a beautiful option while staying with us. Being 15-20 degrees cooler, it can be a great option for your adventure on a hot summer day. There are many great recreational opportunities in this area.
Bryce Canyon

Bryce Canyon National Park is well-known for it's red hoodoos, massive amphitheater, and a numerous other points of interest, including Sunset Point and Inspiration Point. Plenty of opportunities to explore some of the most beautiful backcountry in the world.
Capitol Reef

Capitol Reef National Park, less crowded than other southern Utah attractions, is filled with geologic oddities. A hiker's dream, you can explore massive slot canyons, experience night skies with no noise pollution, and hike along numerous cliffs, canyons, and bridges.
Escalante Petrified Forest State Park

Escalante Petrified Forest State Park, located at Wide Hollow Reservoir, includes a campground, RV sites, and a large group area. A hiking trail leads you through the unique petrified forest.
Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument

Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument is a mixture of sandstone cliffs, slot canyons, and prehistoric village sites in southern Utah. Accessible by Scenic Byway 12 or Highway 89.
Kodachrome Basin State Park

Kodachrome Basin State Park, a short distance from Bryce Canyon National Park, offers numerous opportunities for photography, camping, and hiking, and star gazing (due to minimal light pollution).
Glen Canyon National Recreation Area

Glen Canyon National Recreation Area makes up the areas around Lake Powell and Cataract Canyon. It borders Capitol Reef National Park and Canyonlands National Park . It offers great opportunities for backcountry and water-based activities.
